Fiscal Year 2002 Apprehension Numbers

(Note: Just imagine -- a city the size of Tucson invades the US -- ANNUALLY! -- from Mexico!

January 25, 2003

Jack Foote

This article actually understates the problem by an order of magnitude. Ron Sanders was the Border Patrol Sector Chief for Tucson sector until 2000, when he retired and was replaced by the much more "PC" (politically correct) David Aguilar.

After he retired, Ron started talking about how bad the problem REALLY is. He says that for every illegal caught, at least ten more get through.

In fiscal year 2000, from Oct 1999 to Sep 2000, while Ron Sanders was still Sector Chief, the Border Patrol reports that they caught 289,200 illegals just in the area surrounding Douglas, AZ.

That means that during that same time period, in just that small area of about 20 miles of border, over two and a half MILLION illegals managed to get through successfully, mostly over privately owned land, and are now running around loose somewhere in the USA.

We are being invaded. Imagine how many get across the border every year all up and down the border, not just through Douglas.

We are not just being invaded, we are being colonized.

In the first 11 months of FY 2002 the U.S. Border Patrol made 861,566 apprehensions along the Southwest border. The Border Patrol estimates that they apprehend approximately 25% of the illegal aliens crossing into the United States.

That means that 3 illegal aliens get through for every 1 apprehended.

Independent Immigration experts estimate that the Border Patrol apprehends only 10% of the illegal aliens crossing into the United States.

That means 9 illegal aliens get through for every 1 apprehension.

For this presentation, I will use the Border Patrol estimate of 25%.

If the Border Patrol has apprehended 861,566 illegal aliens in the past 11 months, the number of illegal aliens that made it into the United States undetected would be approximately 2,584,698.

This is an average of over 7,700 illegal aliens entering the United States undetected -- daily.

Here are some numbers to help put this into perspective:

US and Allied troops that invaded Normandy in 1944 = 250,000+

US troops that invaded Okinawa in 1945 = 550,000+

Illegal aliens that have invaded the United States since October 1st 2001 = 2.5 million +
