[Jim Beers] You now understand how the iron triangle of politicians, bureaucrats and special interests conspire together to complexity the laws and bloat the budget. The one connection missing from your invasive species article, was: what is in it for the politicians. The obvious responses of special interest money and favorable publicity, is only part of it. Did anybody at your briefing mention the worst terrestrial invasive species disaster in US history -- kudzu? Probably not. Kudzu was brought here from Japan by the federales! Another great example of one of the three greatest lies -- "I'm from the government, and I'm here to help you." Keep up the good work. |
