Late Wednesday afternoon, the U.S. Senate unanimously confirmed Henry M. "Hank" Paulson, Jr., as America's next Treasury Secretary. Talk about your 'fast track!'

This was done by voice vote; no names were entered into the Congressional record as having voted for or against Paulson. What this say about elected officials? That it's an election year.

It also says that Goldman Sachs shareholders' concern regarding how Paulson spent millions of company dollars not his own on his hobby, "environmentalism," is as naught to U.S. Senators.

It says Paulson's ties to The Nature Conservancy -- which some say is a 'shadow government' by its entwinement with the internal mechanisms of U.S. policy, law and grant money -- are 'no problemo' with U.S. Senators.

It says that the entire U.S. Senate, in order to get another 'fast track' to China and outsourcing of jobs and independence, will do almost anything to advance globalism.

It says Americans are in dire need of a rethinking of the way they vote, i.e., the 'two-party system.'

If 'both' parties joined vocal chords to welcome such a nominee -- to a position that American voters cannot remove by direct vote -- it says third party options need to be taken a lot more seriously, come November.

Remember in November.
