The Gift That Eats People, Part Two

I just taped a neighbor talking about a panther chasing a deer past their RV and cook tent (BBQ & deep fryer behind a picnic bench).  He showed me the tracks, all on tape.

But just as disturbing was the fact that another segment shows him talking about how Dan was traumatized by seeing the panther kill a pig in front of his eyes; Dave says Dan was never the same after that.

Since Dan has Parkinson's, he is not really able to defend himself as well as a normal citizen -- and a normal citizen has little chance of surviving for long in a fur ball with a panther.  Consider the likelihood of being disemboweled by the claws, or having one's jugular or femoral artery severed by claws or teeth!

Now consider trying to get a shot off and having the disadvantage of Parkinson's!

Not a very encouraging picture, is it?  And all this for a cat that is not a legitimate endangered species at all.

It does seem to be an "endanger-ing" species - the things are endangering Dan, they are a danger to me and they are a danger to everyone.

Oh, the latest insult added to injury: ParkMan's latest [de facto] regulations now forbid carrying a gun on their road.  So now they want me to walk to my mailbox, or to my friend's home down the road, UNARMED!!!!!

Time for a call to PLF (Pacific Legal Foundation) in the morning.  Issues to be raised are the reckless endangerment, and now the deliberate disarming of citizens -- so that they are turned into helpless prey for the not endangered cats.

Didn't America once go to war with another tyrant who tried to force Americans to house troops against their will and without compensation?
